From quotation to construction site
You receive an apartment floor plan by email for a complete refresh. You open it in MeasureAll, set the scale using a known dimension, and then draw the walls of each room, indicating the ceiling height. Doors, windows, and bay windows are marked and deducted as you go. In just a few minutes, you get the actual paintable surface area, room by room, providing reliable quantities to support your quote.
To estimate correctly, you distinguish between surfaces: one primer coat and two finish coats on the walls, and two coats on the ceilings. With the measured surfaces, you multiply by the number of coats and the coverage rate of your products to estimate the liters to order. The exported measurement file keeps the details by room and by surface, ready to be used when preparing your quote.
On the construction site, the client asks you to add the hallway and the stairwell. The plan is already in your pocket: you measure on-site, even without a signal, as soon as your plans are in the app. You draw the walls, enter the height, deduct the landing door, and the addition is made to your file. Are doors and windows deducted from the surface area of the walls?
Yes. You draw your walls with their height, then you mark each opening on the plan: door, window, picture window. Their surface area is subtracted from the total, and the details remain visible in your measurement file. You calculate the actual surface area to be painted, not the gross wall area.
How to manage ceilings and layers?
You measure the surface area of each ceiling by outlining the room on the plan. For the layers, you know the exact surface area of each support: simply multiply it by the number of coats planned, including the primer, to estimate your paint quantities and prepare your quote.
Does it work on the construction site, without a network?
